meagan + glen { rustic wedding, noojee }

Rain rain go away. We all know that song don’t we?

Well, on Meagan + Glen’s wedding day, the rain didn’t go away. But it didn’t deter us one bit.

We all invested in some wet weather gear and set off for pictures before the ceremony.

Meagan + Glen decided to get ready together. They stayed at the beautiful Noojee River Chalets. We hiked up to the Toorongo Falls and wandered around the sleepy town of Noojee.

We all got wet, but we laughed along the way. It was fun. I admired Meagan’s determination. She didn’t want to let a little rain ruin her day.

The ceremony + reception was held at The Outpost. Initially they had planned to have the ceremony on the lovely grassed area under the oak tree, but at the last minute, we moved under the veranda just outside of the reception venue.

I loved EVERYTHING about this day. It was beautiful to be apart of. Even though I got wet :)

nikki + simon { echuca wedding }

I’ve known these two for quite some time. I use to work with Nikki, at The Shepparton News. Nikki is one very talented Photographer and when she asked me to shoot her wedding I was truly honoured and super excited!

Nikki + Simon live in Tassie, but decided to get married in Echuca. Both their families live fairly close + Nikki organised the entire wedding over emails + phone calls. And, everything came together perfectly.

They married on the famous Echuca Wharf, overlooking the mighty Murray River. Their reception was held at the stunning Oscar W’s and I have to admit, my tastebuds were in heaven. I think I experienced one of the yummiest meals ever.

I loved the little things that stuck out to me on the day. The parts where Nikki’s personality popped up. When I walked in where the girls were getting ready Triple J was playing quietly on the stereo. The dress I saw hanging in the room was exactly what I’d imagined and sushi rolls lined up like soldiers in the kitchen ready to be eaten. Beautiful flowers sat in jars at the reception + little chocolate treats were given to the guests. A cool, funky two man band rocked out hits and Ben Harper’s Forever played as Nikki walked into the ceremony.

I adored the way Simon looked at Nikki the whole day. He didn’t take his eyes off her, nor did his smile leave his face.

It is so special to see two people, totally in love, marry each other. Even more special when they’re your friends.
